Which Documentation link did you follow?
Let me first explain you the different types of users that can be Integrated/(added to) with SafeSquid
- LDAP Users (Microsoft AD, OpenLDAP, Apache Directory[AD], etc any LDAP Server)
- PAM Users (which includes the Same Linux Machine Users in which SafeSquid is Installed and other users which PAM Supports etc)
- SafeSquid users (Users that are created on the Access Restriction Section Manually)
You can create your own users and password in the SafeSquid Interface itself.
To Create Your own user and password
Go To http://safesquid.cfg/ -> config -> Application Setup[Left Panel] -> Access Restrictions
In Access Restrctions you will find 3 Sections
Global, Access, Deny
Go To Access and create your own Policy which will provide you fields to add new username and password.
