Posted: Mon Nov 25, 2019 10:20 am
Enhancement
1. New startup parameter "FORCE_SNI" added in startup.ini file.
2. "PUSH" mechanism replaced by "PULL" to avoid lockup of SSL section which was occurring due to a large number of incoming connections at startup.
3. SafeSquid will now validate genuineness of the requested HTTPS website, before generating the fake SSL certificates.
4. SafeSquid will now generate wild-card SSL certificate for a sub-domain, reducing the storage requirements, inode memory usage, and also RAM.
5. SafeSquid will now avoid serial number overlaping in fake SSL certificate generation by creating a intermediate CA for each SafeSquid instance.
6. The SSL cache clean interval has now been reduced to 1 hour.
Bugfixes
1. Logical flaw was fixed which caused mis-interpretation of the configuration option that leads to disabling of the real-time SQLite db inserts.
2. Logical flaw was fixed which could cause SafeSquid to crash if the startup parameter for assigning the core dedication was incorrect.
