Hi Team,
We are done with the installation of safesquid on windows server 2012 r2. But we are not able to see the dashboard (http://safesquid.cfg/), because we are facing the issue of proxy server setting. So kindly guide us regarding this issue.

Hello,
You can go through this link to access the SafeSquid User Interface : https://docs.safesquid.com/wiki/Access_ ... _Interface.

You can also precisely find the instructions to set the proxy on any of the known browser using this link : https://www.wikihow.com/Change-Proxy-Settings

To access the Interface, you must configure your web-browser to use the SafeSquid® proxy server.
For example> If you have set-up SafeSquid to listen on IP Address 192.168.0.130 and port 8080, then you should configure your web-browser to use proxy at 192.168.0.130 on port 8080
Further you can access the SafeSquid User Interface with the URL : http://safesquid.cfg

Note:- SafeSquid highly recommends to use Google Chrome or Firefox Browser.

Hello,

Which SafeSquid for Windows version have you installed on your machine?
Can You confirm with the installation success in your machine?

Below are the 2 ways to check whether SafeSquid service is successfuly installed or not.

1. You can check with SafeSquid service manager is been installed on your system or not from : Programs > SafeSquid > SafeSquid Service Manager.
The service manager is accountable for modifying current release setting(s) and putting the service in motion.

2. Also you can check using Windows Service Manager.
Right-click on your Start button to open the WinX Menu. Select Run. This opens the Run box. Now type services.msc in it and hit Enter to open the Services Manager.
Here under the Name column, you will see the list of Services running on your system, along with their description. Check whether SafeSquid service is listed there - whether its running or stopped, along with the Startup types.

Note : - Post Installation SafeSquid for Windows should be restarted. Three ways to do this.
1. You can use SafeSquid Service Manager to start, stop or restart SafeSquid service post installation.
2. You can also start or stop SafeSquid services from Start > Run > services.msc.
3. You can also use the command prompt with the command net start safesquid and net stop safesquid.

Hi,
SafeSquid Appliance Builder(SAB) is the most recommended installer for you.
SAB is a customized version of Ubuntu 14.04 x86_64 minimal iso. You may create a virtual appliance using the SAB iso on any virtualization infrastructure, or boot a standard Intel Server hardware to create a hardware appliance.

You can download it from - http://downloads.safesquid.net/appliance/safesquid.iso .

You can install Hyper-V on your windows machine and install SafeSquid.iso on it.

Hello,

You will get the dashboard/interface once you configure your web-browser with the proxy IP and Port.

For example> If you want SafeSquid to listen on IP Address 192.168.0.130 and port 8080, then you should configure your web-browser to use proxy at 192.168.0.130 on port 8080
After setting your proxy on browser just type the URL http://safesquid.cfg on address bar and you will see the dashboard on your screen.
